OBOS Living Lab Proposal

In 2019, an international, interdisciplinary group of architects, interior architects, environmental engineers, service designers, IT architects, and anthropologists came together as Bokuben and were commissioned to be a part of a competition team and collaborate to develop a concept for future housing to be implemented and tested by OBOS in Oslo, Norway. "Bokuben" is a competition proposal taking its name from the concept of a beehive. The design is derived from the flexibility and value concept, with circular economy and sustainability as the main themes. OBOS Living Lab is going to be the first living lab in Oslo, exploring the future of housing with its tenants as the main focus. Bokuben was selected by the jury as the concept to be further developed and tested by OBOS in 2021.
